This is another great Canadian video entering the arena to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving. Using a combination of videos (including excerpts from a UK PSA – caution it is reality-based, graphic & is not recommended for young viewers), stories and straight-talk conversations with youth help to show just how selfish and stupid texting while driving really is.
Here are just a few of the comments:
“I’d like to think I’m a good distracted driver.”
“I should pull over, but I don’t. It’s just a force of habit.”
“It needs to take something huge for somebody to change their thought process & their habits.”
“We go visit his graveyard now, he’s too young to be in the ground. I still go everyday.”
“The OPP and corporate sponsors have produced a brief video illustrating the dangers of distracted driving which includes victim testimony and explores the attitudes of young adults towards this dangerous practice.”
