Whereas at one time a swerving vehicle was assumed to be a drunk driver, nowadays it’s more typically associated with a distracted driver either talking, texting, grooming or fiddling with in-car controls.

Often viewed as convenience and response to market demands to have our cars function as living rooms, dining rooms,  offices and sometimes even kitchens on wheels; those rooms are home-bound for a reason…last time I checked there was a pretty low risk of injury to myself or others while I sat at my desk juggling writing an article, answering the phone, looking for a misplaced document and all while finishing up my morning toast.

CBS News reporter Mark Strassman reports on finding a balance between technology and road/driver safety.
